Horseshoe Design Build, Dallas District:

Preliminary design of bridges for IH 30 segment for bid proposal. Optimize and coordinate bridge design to save cost and decrease construction duration for contractors. Work with TxDOT, Bridge Design Team, and Pegasus Link Contractors to perform QA/QC review on bridge structures during design stage.

Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Connector, Tarrant County, Texas:

The $1 billion design-build project is located in Southlake, Grapevine and Irving, Texas. The connector consists of highway improvements, including 67 bridges and 54 retaining walls and includes new interchanges at SH 121, SH 114 and International Parkway at the entrance to DFW Airport. Chinh was on the design team for bridges and walls for the duration of the proposal created drawings, calculated quantities, performed preliminary design of structural elements and assisted in the development of cost saving measures for structural alternates. At the design stage, Chinh conducted internal design interdisciplinary review of bridge, retaining wall, and roadway plan sheets at different stages of submittals. During construction phase, he addressed RFI’s and field design changes.
